POINTS TO PONDER...IF YOU PLAN TO
                        STUDY  ABROAD.

Many of the affluent families plan to send their
children abroad for further studies, but  I feel,
a decision should be taken after great thought.
Even if a family cannot afford, they burden themselves  with loans. It's a blessing if the child goes on a scholarship!! You  are spared of
financial strain and tensions of heavy interest .
I have  come across several examples of students who went abroad, only to face many
miseries later. Problems which  are difficult to envisage,  but later pose major hindrances!! A
known family sent  their only daughter to UK
after taking loans against their appartment
and all seemed to be well...only a year later, they had to finally sell their house and shift to a smaller place at quite a distance. Bank loans take the breath out of you!! Of other cases , I heard how very HOMESICK the students become that they set a GLOOM for themselves and parents.

EXPENSES NEED TO BE SOUGHT OUT.

LUCKY YOU,  IF EXPENSES ARE NO ISSUE!! Getting loans is possible, but remember,  they have to be paid back over a lengthy period..
Students who are a 'MISFIT IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY, ARE FIT IN OTHER COUNTRIES"
Money power can achieve the impossible!!! Many parents, succumb to the demands of their children, come what may!! I feel parents
should weigh this aspect before a final decision
....let NOT tensions capture your well being. There are plenty of opportunities in your own
country...explore and you'll find.

CHOICE OF FOOD CAN CAUSE AND BECOME
A HURDLE .

Adjusting to a change in food habits is not welcomed by everybody. Your favourite dishes
won't be the same. Maybe you can't adjust to continental  food daily. Burgers or cheese and pasta is yummy...but you are bound to miss your cuisine!!! People who  are vegetarians may face broblems. If you are an eggetarian,  even then you can survive because in many countries,  non-veg is most popular. We love our spicy food, whereas many cannot tolerate
spices. We love eating Chinese food in our own
country, but it is cooked differently in other countries. South Indian food is so tasty in our country, whereas it is not the same elsewhere.
Eating in restaurants is going to burn a hole in your pockets and hostel food may not be of your choice.

CLIMATE CHANGES ARE NOT  WELCOME.
YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE IN COLD COUNTRIES AS YOU ARE TUNED TO THE MODERATE WEATHER.

Many cases I know of, just have NOT been able to adjust to extreme cold conditions .Countries
up north have severe winters and remain cold rest of the year. Weather conditions hamper the normal routine life. This aspect should be given a serious thought. Youngsters can adjust
somehow and  pull through...but many feel trapped in this situation.

BUILDING YOUR SOCIAL CIRCLE MAY POSE
HINDRANCES.

NEW PLACE..NEW CONTACTS may isolate you for a while. If you like to socialise, youay find it difficult to find your tribe. Even if you make new pals, you will miss your buddies at home!!
This is natural...new pals cannot replace the old ones. I have heard of cases where students feel lonely and  isolated. Many feel homesick !!
They miss their  home, families and friends .
Loneliness can cause a person to become an introvert. You fail to deliver results, studies seem an uphill task....you sit and brood unable to exit from such a situation. I've heard of so many instances where many students finally make  it after all the turmoils....but others who return home unable to withstand harsh conditions or due to ill health.

ONE LAST BIT OF HURDLE..IT'S ONLY  SELF
HELP....DO EVERTHING YOURSELF..

Many of us are used to being helped by our family...for any odd job, we get domestic help..
someone to cut and chop...to mop and wash..to clean and press...to cook and serve....NO WAYZ
HERE!! Do it all yourself..don't think of a God sent help...HELP YOURSELF!! ..all do it there. Learn to be rough and tough. That's the way to survive..If you have never done a household chore in your country, then you are going to face a hard life...so brace yourself to learn the hard way....

I am not against students going abroad for further studies...just highlighting the problems faced by many a student. My advice is weigh all options before reaching  a final decision. Many students do our country proud, but many others who fail to deliver.. BE STRONG, MOTIVATED AND FOCUSED. IF YOU ARE DETERMINED TO SUCCEED...YOU WILL. THE
ODDS WILL BECOME STEPPING STONES AND YOU WILL NOT LOOK BACK. EACH COUNTRY HAS IT'S BENEFITS AND  VICE VERSA..

GOOD LUCK AND KEEP  GOING!!😃✌
