MY ENCOUNTER WITH POSITIVITY..and the
                                NET RESULTS. 

This is a true episode of meeting up with a relation, RUBINA ( name changed)  in Mumbai
during her battle with the "RAREST KIND OF 
CANCER"..

One day, I received a call from Mumbai  to inform us about  R having been  diagnosed with cancer!! The family was shattered...so were we. The word 'CANCER ' sends electric currents into our body !! A shiver ran down 
my spine after hearing  it to be the rarest of it's kind!!! I kept wondering how did she become a victim of such a dreadful illness!! It was unbelievable at first, but took it with a pinch of salt!! Cancer is deadly..not only  does it devour the patient, but the entire family. The
trauma is so evident, that it leaves a dent on the entire clan!! The treatment is lengthy and
leaves a hole in the pockets. What I learnt from
R is a disease changer and can definitely lift you out of this dilemma and pave a way to the recovery.  Yes folks, DON'T let fear engulf you!! ..Keep your SPIRITS HIGH and FULL OF POSITIVITY!!!...read ahead.

  On reaching Mumbai  ( this was about 4 years
ago) I made a dash to visit R. She was in LILAVATI HOSPITAL for a  major surgery and
further treatment. The SMILE ON R's FACE WAS COMFORTING !! I gathered myself not to let go the emotions. After a brief chat on her health issue...I was convinced at her confidence!! She had a thorough knowledge of the type of Cancer she had and the effect on longevity of her life. The tumour had it's tenticles into 3 of her organs.!!! ..she frankly asked the docs,  " How long will I live??"..to which the reply was " Just 6 months". I looked stunned and could not utter anything. Later, I told her mom not to disclose details or reports to her. Aunty said quietly " With the cell phone and Google, it's easy to access any  information
..she knows all". Her cancer had three of her
organs affected.!! A very rare case of it's kind
and hopeless to the core. Bit of the  stomach, liver and the gall bladder included. The surgery was successful, but her treatment was
endless. I was speechless and very scared to the roots of  my innerself !!

SHE SAID, "If I have 6 months to live...I don't 
want to die daily. I will live it up!!!" It's 4 years now and she's living it up..she visited  Japan and other nearby places with her husband. Her family is affluent and so she is blessed with all the care and love. They even offered to take her abroad for further care and
treatment...but she refused. "HERE I HAVE ALL MY NEAR ONES..I don't want to DIE ALONE."..THIS IS THE POSITIVITY IN HER SOUL AND ROOTS...IT'S DEEP ROOTED IN HER. This is the way to live...with positivity in your bones!! Any illness can be cured if you are positive in mind...think you will be cured..
And you will be.

When I met R just after her 1st. round of chemotherapy...she looked radiant. Her hair  had grown thick and long. She used to be so fat
but now she had become sleek and shapely..I complimented her on her new form and asked
her the effort put in to transform. She replied it was due to the fact that her body survived on the body fat. Her diet was mostly liquids and
of less quantity. All the medicines had reduced her diet ...this made her reduce all the body chunk!!

Four years past and she led a disciplined life. Careful on her diet..regular check ups and doses of medicines . Suddenly recently we heard about her relapse. So sad!! She had to undergo a surgery again with all the painful treatment and side effects. I was in Mumbai again with a heavy heart...and so many negative thoughts. Her mom was shattered and lost.While chatting with aunty in the sitting room, I kept  wondering how to greet
R. We were waiting to be called into her bed room. As we got up to enter the bedroom,   I had many wild thoughts racing in my mind. How would I console her???  NEGATIVITY had over powered me!! As we entered R's room, I was in for a pleasant surprise!! A big smile and
a cheerful greeting enamoured me!! R was full of energy and joy on meeting us. I was totally taken aback !!! Inspite of a setback and therapy
all over again, she seemed so jubilant!!! ..really
GREAT !!! When I seated myself next to her she
related her true experience gems.

THIS IS WHAT SHE TOLD ME.....I CAN NEVER
FORGET THESE TIPS TO COMBAT ILLNESS.

1. Illness  is just a state of mind!! Think positive and your health problems will disappear. Positivity is more powerful than
the medicines. THINK YOURSELF TO BE FINE...AND SO YOU WILL BE!! OUR BRAIN IS A WONDERFUL ORGAN AND IT ACTS AS YOU SIGNAL. THE POSITIVE VIBES CURE AND HEAL YOU FASTER!!!

2. DIET is very important. Eat a high protein
diet that your body needs to recover. Drink plenty of fluids to flush out your system , specially water.Don't miss out on your medicines and doctor's orders. You need to be very hygienic as your resistence is low. Chances of catching minor health problems
can be high, so boost your immune system.

3. Keep yourself occupied mentally. Read, watch television, chat with friends...just shake yourself out of this negativity !! You can meditate or even write a diary with your happy thoughts. An empty mind is a devil's workshop.

4.Have faith in GOD. Miracles do happen if you think positively. Mental strength can delete all negative thoughts!! 

R is undergoing the treatment since past two months. The only issue that upset her was the loss of her hair. She learnt get over it with a positive thought....IT WILL GROW AGAIN SOON. My advice to all readers is....please motivate such patients  who maybe your  friend or relative. The suffering and mental or physical agony will end if you guide them to remain positive specially during the battle with cancer...POSITIVITY WILL ACT FASTER THAN MEDICINES!!!...R has taught me to remain positive in any situation of our life.
