Memory loss is a big concern with many of us. It's not necessary that this condition is age related..There are many reasons which cause a short term or long term forgetfulness. Many youngsters also fall into this problem...There
are times when you keep your car keys and the next day you keep hunting for it. This can happen many a times daily..hunting your glasses?...searching your wallet ?..trying to
remember if you had your medicine today?..
I remember my husband trying to hide his wallet in a new place each end of the day..and can you believe it ?? Hours were spent hunting
for it.!! ...and that was not the end..he would bring up many fears....have I left it in the office?..Did it drop accidently on the road?? ..
Then finally "Have you seen it?".. Then would follow arguments..with the end result "Why can't you keep it in one place??"
Memory loss can happen for many reasons..
If you have insomnia ..a irregular sleeping pattern or wake up frequently at night..this leads to a tired brain..this can cause mental disturbances. If a person resorts to sleeping pills or has a depression, and to tackle this situation, takes drugs..the result is obvious !!
These days people live under stress and worry
which can trigger memory loss. Sometimes when a person has had a heart stroke...blood is denied to some portion of the brain....this can lead to memory loss. Folks having thyroid problems can also be forgetful...One should not worry about their forgetfulness...worry causes problems !! You think too much and never let your brain relax..People with general worries
related to job tension...family problems...
sickness....financial....and many more..
There are ways to tackle this disturbing condition..Include the following in your routine.
1)Take fish oil....this has omega 3 fats....which is really good for the brain. Oil taken from tiny fish called shrimp ..is really good.
2)Coconut oil is excellent for the brain.It is quickly absorbed by the brain. Food cooked in this oil can be really healthy. Few drops added in your daily coffee can do wonders!
3) Vitamin D is a must..If you don't take supplements....then sit in the sun for half an hour...you'll get natural vitamin D.
4) Vitamin B is also important.B12 restores health to the nerves...which send signals to your brain...take a good diet rich in this vitamin.
5) Have a diet loaded with fruits and vegetable.
Elderly folks who have chewing problems can
take good supplements available in the market.
SOME WAYS TO BOOST YOUR BRAIN..easily
1) Read something interesting...it should liven you up .
2) Visit a new shopping site. It should be an exciting place ..your brain should absorb the new environment.
3) Drive through a new route..Enjoy the scenic view..Take your family along..Get involved in joking and laughing. This will inspire your brain...think new...think positive!!
4)Go for a walk daily..you are lucky if you have a park across...sit with your group of friends...
Echange old memories...joke and enjoy their company..They too need friends like you.
5) Interact with your grand children..they bring so much joy and innocence into your life
Chat with small kids..they will really entertain
you.
6) Watch television..see the news..learn what's
happening..Go to a theatre ..be entertained.
7) Dress up and eat in a good restaurant..you could also sit on the wayside and eat an ice
candy...
8) Try and remember birthdays of your dear ones and friends..They too will wish you when it's your turn..
9)Celebrate festivals and rituals
with a bang. Don't clam yourself into lonliness..
Folks we are all destined to face this journey into old age .Eat nuts and walnuts daily. They are good boosters for the brain..
An uncle of mine who gets memory loss often
dedicatedly daily writes his list of chores for the next day...and the next day he spends time hunting for the list. Then a blank look adorns his face...scratching his head he can be seen wondering....what he had to remember...There
are times when I need money from my cupboard....on opening the closet I stand with a blank look and wonder..'why did I open my
cupboard????'.....There's no need to panic. This is not a defect or an illness....Sleep well, eat well and live a memorable life!!!
