SKIN CANCER AND SUNSCREEN LOTION.....
              is there a connection ???

Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer
in the USA with nearly  5 million people treated annually  .

THE THREE MOST COMMON TYPES OF SKIN CANCER ARE ;

1 ) Basal cell carcinomas (80% of all skin cancers).

2 )Squamous cell carcinoma.

3 )Melanoma.

Mainstream media is obsessed with telling people to avoid the sun and apply copious amount  of sunscreen to prevent skin cancer .
But studies have shown that sunscreen could be doing more harm than  good.

Sunscreen blocks vitamin D production which is an essential nutrient for health and cancer prevention. Major brands of sunscreen also contain toxic chemicals which are absorbed through the skin , enter the blood stream and then circulate throughout the body.
Cancer causing chemicals found in sunscreen include....
* Octyl methoxyeinnamate...OMC.

* Titanium dioxide .

*Oxybenzone.

*Derivates of vitamin A such as retinol and retinyl palmitate.

* Diesopropyl odipate.

Melanoma is the most dangerous type of skin cancer..one should take precaution while being out in the sun...our body bones need vitamin D which is abundant in sunlight...the best way to soak adequate vitamin D is to get natural sunlight and avoid sunscreen which blocks UVB....The general recommendation is to get 15 to 30 minutes a day of direct sunlight although
darker skinned people may need longer duration. Start with 10 minutes ensuring that skin does not get too pink.

If required to be in the sun for long periods wearing a hat and extra clothing is better to protect skin from burning instead of using sunscreen lotions..If using sunscreen go for a natural  or non toxic brands..

Eating a diet that is high in antioxidant food can also help prevent cancer..Using coconut oil is also a good way to cope with sunburn. In our country..India....the sun is so hot and bright that it harms our skin if we are exposed to it for a while...this is where care must be a priority....use sunglasses....umbrellas....sit under a shady tree.....but don't over expose yourself to the harsh UVR.....ultra violet rays...

......

An advice to sunbathers and sea lovers...do observe self care...it is better to take care instead of heading in for health problems...if you use sunscreens ..do read the labels carefully...there are lotions which could benefit if they do not contain chemicals.
